On Monday, 7/27, SATO United Flight 003 takes to the skies - first, to fly several #NoDogLeftBehind cases to Puerto Rico to keep families together, then, the following day, to fly dozens of rescued strays back off the island to join new forever homes on the mainland.
Commercial flight restrictions and rising temperatures have made it practically impossible for rescuers to get their satos and gatos off the island, and for families to safely and responsibly transport their pets when they relocate.
Rising costs and a worsening economy has made high quality veterinary care less accessible than ever.
SATO United is our coalition of flight partners and veterinarians offering deeply discounted medical services and FREE spots on privately chartered flights off the island in temperature controlled cabins. Every animal flown with SATO United makes room for a new stray to be rescued; meaning TWO lives saves.
We will fly these special animals as often as resources will allow. The rescuers, families, supporters, and most of all - the satos and gatos - have our word.
