Are you an Act 60 resident in Puerto Rico? Interested in supporting The Sato Project’s mission?

Your Investment = Their Lifeline

You came to Puerto Rico for its beauty, culture, and Act 22/60 benefits—but your impact can go deeper. By supporting The Sato Project, you turn your philanthropic obligation into compassion, funding rescue, medical care, and lasting change for thousands of satos who deserve a second chance. Whether your decree requires $5,000 or $10,000, your gift helps us rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome satos—Puerto Rico’s abandoned and abused dogs. Every dollar fuels our fight to save lives and build permanent change.

Fulfilling Your Decree Is Simple

Act 22 Holders:
Donate $5,000 to The Sato Project—a certified nonprofit under Puerto Rico’s tax code—and meet your annual requirement with purpose.

Act 60 Holders:
Split your $10,000 donation:

  • $5,000 to a certified nonprofit of your choice—like The Sato Project

  • $5,000 to a nonprofit listed by the CECFL

We are eligible to receive annual donations under Puerto Rico Acts 20, 22, and 60, as certified by Hacienda under Section 1101.01(a)(2). Our Número de Exención is SF499804160.

Why Choose The Sato Project?

We don’t just rescue dogs. We fight for them, and haver been for over 14 years.

  • 8,000+ satos saved and flown to loving homes

  • 4,500+ spay/neuter/vaccine procedures through Operation Sato

  • 150,000+ lbs of emergency relief delivered across the island

  • 268+ pets reunited with families after disaster

We’re boots on the ground. We’re hearts in the fight. We’re building a future where no dog is left behind.

This Is More Than a Tax Obligation

It’s a chance to stand up for the voiceless. To give back to the island that welcomed you. To be part of a movement that’s rewriting the story for Puerto Rico’s animals.

The Sato Project is dedicated to rescuing abused and abandoned dogs in Puerto Rico, rehabilitating them with the highest standards of veterinary care, and finding them loving homes.
