These funds are needed more urgently than ever. With the government inching closer to mass euthanasia of satos on the island, The Sato Project is doubling down on our mission: to stand on the HUMANE side of history, disrupting the stray dog overpopulation crisis with systemic solutions.

In the past year, we have funded countless Freedom Flights, spayed/neutered and vaccinated an average of 7 dogs per day through Operation Sato, rescued hundreds of pups off the beaches and streets, and managed to begin extensive renovations on our very own Sanctuary property on the island.

But we cannot pay for this work on love alone. If we could, the island would have been free of strays decades ago. We are a tiny team with zero government support. We rely solely on the generosity of our community to keep this fight alive.
