Mission Possible 19

Dear Sato Supporters,

We did it! Thanks to your incredible generosity, Mission Possible 19 was a resounding success. Together, 398 donors like you raised $117,883, allowing The Sato Project to fly 110 satos and gatos to their new homes overnight—while also delivering 1,500 lbs of critical veterinary and operational supplies to Puerto Rico for our next Operation Sato clinics.

Despite pouring midnight rain, our team worked tirelessly to ensure every animal was safely loaded onto the aircraft. By sunrise, the plane touched down in Morristown, NJ, where adopters, fosters, and rescue partners were waiting with open arms. Several of these pets were “No Dog Left Behind" cases, reunited with their families after being displaced due to restrictive airline travel policies.

This mission wasn’t just about rescue—it was about addressing the root cause of Puerto Rico’s overwhelming stray dog crisis. Earlier this month, we provided free spay/neuter and vaccinations to 194 satos, because sterilization and medical care are essential to breaking the cycle of overpopulation.

I want to personally thank each and every one of you. Your kindness, generosity, and belief in our mission made this mission possible. As I watched families meet their new dogs and long-separated pets reunite with their people, I was overwhelmed with emotion and gratitude—for this vital work we do together, and for the members of this #satostrong community that makes it happen.

We believe in mass rescue, sterilization, and medical care—not mass euthanasia. We believe in brighter futures for the animals of Puerto Rico. Because of you, we are changing lives in the most humane way possible.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with us.

With gratitude,

Chrissy Beckles, Founder & President

Thank you for being in our corner, and for refusing to give up on these amazing dogs.
