Ercole
Ercole took his Freedom Flight on July 5th, 2020. Thank you to all of his Foster From Afar donors for helping us change his life forever.
Ercole had clearly been to hell and back. This sweet sato-pittie with crudely cropped ears was probably used as a bait dog, being endlessly attacked by other dogs practicing their fighting skills. (Only the gentlest souls can be bait dogs because they do not fight back.) Each of Ercole’s scars had a brutal story behind it that we could only hope he would soon forget. His ability to love and trust after the horrors he’d seen brought tears to our eyes.
Despite all he had been through, Ercole was a remarkably happy dog who greeted everyone he met with a smile and wag of his tail. And, thanks to your support, this incredibly happy and loving dog was able to finally get his happily ever after. Despite having been abused, abandoned and left without hope in the past – Ercole came off the airplane with his tail wagging, face-grinning, and ready to leave his old life behind him. We are thrilled to report that Ercole is now being showered with love in his new home. His parents had always wanted to rescue a pit bull and fell in love with Ercole’s story. He now has two rescued greyhound brothers to play with, parents who adore him, and will never have to fear for his life again.
Ercole was all smiles and tail wags when he landed on his Freedom Flight and got to meet his parents right at the airport:
