In the early morning hours of October 10th, an airplane took off from San Juan, Puerto Rico, made a quick stop in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and then reached Morristown, NJ by early afternoon. Onboard were 130 dogs and cats rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico. Once off the airplane, each Puerto Rican treasure was handed to their awaiting forever family, foster family or a welcoming shelter partner.
We are so grateful for all of our donors and partners for making these 130 dreams come true. Please scroll through the photos and media below to see the magic in action for yourself. Or click here to read more about this transport in People Magazine.
We would like to say a special ‘thank you’ to our Freedom Flight partners, Wings of Rescue and Greater Good Charities, along with our generous match donors: Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., The Howard E. Stark Foundation, Moroccanoil, Nana’s Tea Time Treats, and The Rosemont Foundation.
This life-saving work is only possible because of the support of our community.
