Over Valentine’s Day weekend, love was in the air! On Saturday, February 12th, 120 lucky satos rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico flew to new homes in the Northeast. Their airplane took off just after sunrise in San Juan and landed in New York just as the sun was setting. 40 of the dogs onboard even got to meet their new families as soon as they landed at the airport. Thank you so much to everyone who supported this mission and helped all these dreams of true love come true! Whether you gave a sato valentine card to a loved-one or received one, thank you for making all of this life-saving, Valentine’s Day magic possible. Scroll through the photo albums below to see this love in action.
We would also like to thank a few of our partners who helped make last this special mission possible. These transports could not take place without our partner Wings of Rescue, who fly our precious cargo with so much care.
Our team is also grateful for Million Air for providing such a warm and welcoming place for our dogs to land and for our trusted shelter partners in NY who received some of our sato treasures still searching for their forever homes: Animal Haven, Kent Animal Shelter, and Paws Crossed Animal Rescue.
