GIVING TUESDAY

$150,603 $300,000

WE HAVE A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT TO MAKE…the biggest in the history of our organization. But let’s back up a second.

Thanks to our incredible community, from individuals, to families, to partner organizations, to municipalities on the island, and to countless volunteers and friends, we’ve had an incredible 2024 so far. Aside from rescuing hundreds of dogs, rehabilitating them to the highest standards of care, and flying them to new adoptive homes, The Sato Project provided over $2 million in crucial medical services at our #OperationSato events. But it did not come as easily as it might have seemed. The Sato Project relies entirely on donations to fund our enormously costly expanded rescue program. Every dollar spent on rehabilitation, vetting, flights, or #OperationSato comes directly from our pockets. The future of The Sato Project, in 2025 and beyond, will hang in the balance of our ability to meet a massive fundraising goal to fuel our largest undertaking yet…

And we’ll be announcing that undertaking in one week, on December 3rd via social media.

That day - #GivingTuesday - is the most important day of philanthropy for our organization. Due to the immense magnitude of what our announcement will unveil, this year’s #GivingTuesday goal has to be our most ambitious in 13 years of operation: $300,000. And thanks to generous anonymous matching partners, we’re thrilled to say that every dollar raised towards our #GivingTuesday goal will count DOUBLE.

You may not see the sweat of our effort on social media, where we don’t have room for much besides the highlights. But I appreciate you taking the time hear me when I say: this work is massive and it never stops. But that’s ok. Because we are so deeply committed to bettering quality of life for the satos of Puerto Rico, we believe every ounce of sweat put in is worth it. All we hope is that you will stand with us on December 3rd with a matched donation, and tune in to hear me make an announcement that should expand and improve the trajectory of The Sato Project permanently - IF we can rely on your generous support.

In gratitude,

Chrissy Beckles
